Hello From Nova Scotia, Canada

Good Morning. My name is Tess. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I have about an acre of land with a house that's approximately 100 yrs old. It has a lot of "character". lol I currently share my home with 5 cats & my mother. We live approximately 10 minutes from my grandparents. I learned to quilt by hand from my grandmother about 10 yrs ago. Unfortunately, I haven't had a lot of time to quilt for myself. I have made 2 wall hangings, numerous throw pillows & one baby quilt since I started. I have collected panels of Wolves for a couple of double sized quilts I'm hoping to make for myself & am just now looking into the kind of batting that would be best as well as the price range. My grandmother doesn't quilt as much any more (she's turning 82 this year & her fingers aren't as nimble). I came across this site while googling batting. lol. Figured there was no better way to make friends & get advice then from fellow quilters. Hope to get to know you all & look forward to learning more about yourselves, quilting, & anything else that would be nice to know. :) Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. |

Thank you all so much for the wonderfully warm welcomes. It is especially nice as the last couple of days have been a bit cold here in my neck of the woods. lol. Actually been using my older quilts that are almost thread bare from use. :( Best get my batting pretty soon & get my wolf quilt started. lol. Not sure how much longer my grandmother's quilts will last. :) Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend coming up & happy quilting!
