Hello and welcome from Lowell, MA, formerly New Hampshire. I've been quilting for over 25 years, but only hand quilted one quilt, the first bed quilt that I made for my daughter. She now has plans to pass it on to our first granddaughter Zoe, who's 13 months and so precious. As a secretary for 30+ years, I have carpal tunnel and can only hand quilt for very short periods of time, so I machine quilt.

Welcome from W TX! I hand quilt & SID on the machine. I'm learning to follow a pattern on the machine. My next step is going to be to learn FMQ, Yet I just recently realized that my true love isn't piecing or machine quilting it's hand quilting! :)

I admire you for the FMQ, I have tried it but was very unsuccessful. I sometimes quilt on my sewing machine, but it is with a walking foot. I would love to have the Bernina with the stitch regulator.
