I have been quilting for 25 years. I used to be an avid cross stitcher but I have a quilter friend who finally converted me and I have been addicted ever since. Quilting has introduced me to wonderful people and I have made lifelong friends through our common passion. I am currently the BOM chairman for my quilt guild. Lately, I have been making bags for my friends and grandchildren.

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!! Great looking projects!!

I've never seen the men's tie pattern before. It's very cute! Welcome to the board.

A big welcome from Ireland.

Thank you. A friends husband died last year and she asked me to make a tie quilt. She only had 9 ties which would not make much of a quilt. She has 2 grown daughters so I made 3 separate panels one for each of them. I used the short end of the tie and used his tie clips of which there were also 9. They loved it. It was a big responsibility and it took me 3 months to decide on a pattern. I was really nervous when I cut the ties apart. The shirt part of the tie is in EQ6.

Welcome from Australia!
It just occurred to me that your French bag would match my french quilt called 'Paris Nights' with cocktail dresses and chandeliers in black (and red)! Thinking alike perhaps? All the best, Therese |

Welcome from another Okie. Love your projects, especially the bag. I'm a bag lady myself. And I love anything and everything that is black and white. I only throw in red if I have to.
