Hello from Ontario, Canada
New to forum. Started my first quilt when I was 19. It was a Storm at Sea and I used cardboard to make templates. I took those pieces with me through 6 moves and finally threw them away 25 years later. Fast forward a few years and I have jumped in head first. Started last year and have made 14 quilt tops. Some are terrible but I am getting better. Finished only 6. 4 baby quilts, 1 throw and an almost queen. FMQ on DSM. Again, terrible but getting better. Hoping to share my obsession with like minded folks and learn from the old pros!

Hello from soggy Seattle. It's actual cold and crisp today, heavy frost no snow so far this year.
Storm at Sea was one of the first quilts I wanted to make when I first started quilting at age 17, but I was able to wait some 20 years or so before I actually made one. Ah, but back in the day pre-rotary cutters and rulers and cardboard templates... I remember it well but not with fondness. This is a good place to share our obsession, the only downside is I get too many great ideas for projects. |
