Hi all,
I have a new life, new city, even a new dog! Always wanted to get into quilting, so here I am. I have been reading your comments, and I think I can learn alot here. Now that I've gotten the courage to say hello, maybe I might even attempt to quilt! Oh, and sorry in advance if I ask silly questions! I am learning.....sometimes slowly!

Also a nice quilt shop (if it's still there - haven't been in several years) on E50....

Hello from the northeast. I'll be heading down your way soon. :)

This is absolutely the place to ask questions of any kind. One thing that might help you is to use the "search" feature at the top of this page. If you have a question about something, do a search first to see if someone else has asked about the same topic.

You will be amazed at how much you're going to learn here! Welcome to the board! :D

Welcome to the forum! I'm so ready for this heat and humidity to be over! I imagine its even worse down in FL where you are. Have fun exploring the site - you can learn a LOT from the forum. I recently joined myself. Check out the personal diaries threads if you want to learn more about fellow quilters, or just chat about life...

There is no such thing as a silly question! Ask away whenever you want. I have been quilting for five years now and even got the nerve to start a beginner-quilter class so I could learn from the students! We all help each other and learn from our mistakes together. Last term the "girls"(we are all retired teachers) wanted to learn "stack and whack". None of us had done it but, yes, you guessed it. I took an on line course and I will be leading the class in about two weeks! I have no idea much beyond a little bit, but we will have fun together and learn and laugh! Welcome to the board. The only problem here is it is so informative and so much fun, I'm here a lot when I should be quilting! LOL!

Welcome from Illinois. It is okay to ask any questions and someone on this board is sure to know the answer!! There are so many talented ladies and gents here!

You're probably talking about Cornerstone Quilt Shop, just east of 436 on Colonial Drive(hwy 50). I was just there today. Awesome shop-really fun folks.

Welcome from Oregon.

A warm welcome from California. You will love this site and learn a lot. As an added bonus, everyone is very nice and will to share tips and ideas. As our teachers always told us no question is silly except the ones you don't ask.

Welcome to the board, and to Orlando! I just love it here. (Both the board and Orlando). I hope you like quilting as much as I do. It's very addictive.
Check out the "Modern Quilt Guild" of Orlando. Its a wonderful group of people, and offers some "face to face" quilting time. Again, Welcome.
