Hello from our 5th wheel!
My husband & I live full-time in our 38 ft. 5th wheel RV and travel throughout the beautiful USA. We spent the past winter in Rockport,TX where I finally learned to quilt at our RV park. I'm hooked and now can't pass by a fabric store or quilt shop! We are currently in central Indiana and plan to head east for the summer. I made 3 basic quilt patterns this winter and am currently designing a quilt for each of my grandchildren.
Home is where we park it! Curlytop |
That is great. We have a 28" travel trailer, but is in a permanent space for the summer. I take my quilting with me when we stay there. I love having something to do. There are several people in the park that also spend time sewing in their RV's. Enjoy.

Welcome to the board. Wish we could have "MET" sooner, I'm only an hour away from Rockport.

Sounds like an interesting life. I love Rockport and there is a great quilt shop there. Plus there are lots of friendly people and beautiful birds..

Welcome to the board, we look forward to seeing your work and learning what you have to share. Quilts, tips, living in your RV, just whatever you want to share. If your ever around Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, send me a pm and maybe we can meet. I'm in the process of building my new home and studio, you'd be welcome here anytime.

Welcome from Michigan!:)

We have a 34ft 5th wheel that we quit running in and I have it parked with a big deck next to it. I use it for my studio since I quilt and do oil paintings. It also serves as a guest house. We travel in a smaller 26ft. Have a great time! Sounds like you are!

Welcome to this wonderful community! I am a little envious of you! There is an RV park in our area right on the ocean and it is occupied from April through November. I've always wondered about the culture of RV dwellers. I hope you enjoy your time with us!

Hello and welcome from Kentucky. If you ever get to Kentucky you need to stop in Shepherdsville on I65 exit 117. You can park at the park beside the Awesome Flea Market and about a mile up the road is a nice quilt shop. There is also a beautiful KOA at Exit 116 on Hwy 44 East - about 5 miles from the Interstate. Hope you all have a great time traveling and stay safe!!

Hello Curlytop!
Welcome from Minnesota! Glad you've joined us! :) |
Hey! You're living my dream! I have seen motor homes that are designed for sewing. They look like a regular studio on wheels! Have great time traveling and send lots of post cards from the road.
EDIT: If you ever visit eastern Pa. Look up Kutztown, Wooden Bridge Drygoods. A small fabric shop with over 3000 bolts, in the middle of a cow pasture. My fav! peace |
