hello from outside the box
Good morning to my new community! i look forward to having someone who knows what i'm talking about again. It's been a long time since i've "binded" with another quilter.
I have quilted since i was 15 (+/- 30 yrs). it wasn't cool then, but my grandmother was an invalid and it gave us time alone together. I didn't even know there were "rules". she gave me a needle and some old shirts. I hacked it up and rearranged things til she said it was beautiful. Since then, i've made hundreds of "scrap quilts". i've never sold a single one (but hopefully someday). It just happens that by the time i get to the binding, someone comes to mind who really needs a hug. I have a vintage machine and a fancy machine and a voyager longarm. I like to play with my toys and dig in the dirt. Who's with me? |

The rules don't matter unless you are trying for prizes. The only rule for quilts to comfort other is that they must be made with love! |
