Hi everyone!! I am a hand quilter from PA. I have been looking for a message board like this and so happy to find it. I have been quilting for about 3 years now, right now I am making drink coasters for the girls who work for me at work. I have made several baby quilts and 2 twin size so far among other small things.

Im looking forward to chatting with everyone and getting help and ideas!!!

Hello and welcome! There's no shortage of help and ideas here, just toss out a thought whenever you like. Boo hosts a live chat from 3-5 EST on Sundays, too. It's the Live Chat link at the top that'll take you there. It's fun. Drop by! :-P

You too! Oh, you're in PA...it'll be easy for you to remember the chat time. I'm in CA and after all these years can't get the 3PM EST = 12 noon here! Good grief ! :D

Hi Nanner, i make little blocks (like the big ones for a quilt) and put felt in the middle than a backing then quilt it. its like making little mini blocks. its fun!!

Hi Linda---
I'm Donna from Sapulpa, OK. I just found this site myself about a month ago. My sign-on name is Sibble. I'm a self-taught quilter, have made 3 or 4 quilts and loving it. Lots of good information on this message board. I have learned a lot reading everyone's Q & A's.

Welcome!

Hi Donna - I have a friend who lives in Sapulpa who is also a quilter. Her name is Maureen Miller. Do you know her?

Sibble 12-07-2006 07:33 PM

Hi Linda:
Thanks for answering my message. No I don't know Maureen Miller. Is she signed up for this message board? Perhaps we could chat with each other.

Thanks..

Linda Toon 12-07-2006 07:42 PM

No, I don't believe she is signed up.

I hand quilt too. The last quilt I did was for my grandsons. "Veggie Tales". I did 2 twin comforters and pillow covers. King size. lol.

They loved them but now they have a little brother so am going to have to look for Veggie Tale material again.

I noticed tho that my stitching is not as good as it use to be. Maybe old age and arthritis. Or lazy ness not sure. It is a very relaxing way to spend the winter tho.

Good luck on your projects

Peggy
