Hello from PA!

Hi, my name is Maryann and I am newly obsessed with quilting. Actually, I haven't technically "quilted" a thing yet, but I've finished the piecework on about four small items and have what I need to quilt a couple of them. I started out as a knitter a few years ago and earlier this year I bought a Brother sewing machine (CS6000i), although I wasn't quite sure how much use I would get out of it. I started looking around the internet at sewing and quilting blogs and a couple of simple patterns had me chomping at the bit to try them, and a new obsession was born. I'm looking forward to interacting with you all and hopefully getting to some shows or classes locally.

Welcome from the Adirondack Mountains of northern NY. I don't actually "quilt." I can't bring myself to hand quilt anything as it would take me forever but I love piecing the quilt tops together and having someone machine quilt them for me. Anyhow, it is still a lot of fun! I think you will love it here. Everyone is so helpful and quick to answer all the questions. Welcome!!
