I do mine the same way as Vicki it seems to work just fine. Oh we have no quilt police here

Welcome Karen. I've always heard , & it seems to be true, it's ok to cut straight for straight- straight of grain for straight edges- but cut bias binding if you'll be sewing it to curved edges such as scallops or rounded corners. This allows it to feed evenly and not pucker around those curves.

I also use double-folded binding as Vivki described. Debbie posted this link which has several 30-minute shows you can watch on different techniques. One you may find interesting is on attaching a binding... very informative.

Hi Doc Just catching up. I love rollar skating. I had to give it up a few years back. I have wholely bones. I started when I was 5. and I miss it..... have fun with that and quilting
