Hi and welcome form AZ. This must be fellow AZ day on the board you are the second new member and we all live near one another. We have Surprise, Peoria and I'm from Avondale. Congrats on your tackling a Christmas Quilt for your first quilt you definitely don't scare easily. Perhaps we can form our own little group. Welcome again and enjoy the board but one warning it can cut into your quilting time since it's very addicting... :D :D :D :D

Hi CCLady,

I had to laugh when I read your comment as I am doing the same. I started making quilts in April of this year. I didn't even know what a
1/4 inch seam was. My first project was a 35 star quilt for my husband. Now I am making all the grandchildren quilts for Christmas. It is sew much fun. Karen

Hi Critter Lady,
Welcome from a fellow quilter in Glendale...I also began quilting lessons at JoAnn's - good foundation.. My first classes were from Sandy Goforth and Ruth Gordon. Ruth still teaches quilt & Chat classes at Sun Valley Quilts on Bell Rd near 99th Ave in Sun City. I can, also, recommend Patti Cook (she is a member here on the quilt board also). Their classes are very reasonable and the ladies are so pleasant and helpful. Hope to run into you sometime.

Judy
