Welcome from the "Thumb".

Re: Favorite Fabrics and Concordia - is your son going to be a pastor? I'm a LCMS church secretary, so I'm very familiar with Concordia Ann Arbor. They have the best Boar's Head Festival. I haven't been in years, but remember it well.

That's his plan right now... it takes eight years, though, and I think he (and we) will know more after the spring semester, which is when he has to take Greek. That, I understand, is very difficult! But... if he sets his mind to it, he has the ability to succeed at pretty much anything he wants to.

I did see something about the Boar's Head Festival on the college website... I'll have to go take another look at it!

Hi and welcome from Romeo MI. My son lives in Canton. Are there any quilt shops in that area?

All Stitched Up – Farmington
Bits n Pieces - Wayne on Michigan Ave
Lake St Mercantile- South Lyon

I am in Westland and just recently found out about the one in Farmington and the one in Wayne I have been to a few times. It is a nice shop. I haven't been to the one in South Lyon yet either. Plan to make the trip to both of the new ones this fall and any others that I hear about. Another brand new store opening in Lambertville, but that is a long drive from northwestern Wayne county. I plan on checking this one out soon too, tho.
