HELLO Quilters

Hello from sunny UK. well not really im looking out the window at very grey sky... im on here scouting for patterns and advice. im pretty new to this whole quilting world and would really like to make a dear friend of ours in Ohio an OSU quilt queen size. We have been lucky enough to go to one of the OSU games when we were visiting two years ago and had a blast. We are due to meet her in Florida in April and I think that she would get a great kick if i had a quilt to give!! anyhow i can not find for love nor money a pattern online. can soneone please advise? free is always good.

i look forward to hearing anything at all!!

Cheers
J

Welcome from OHIO! I know if you use Bing search engine and search for "Ohio State Quilts" there are many quilts pictured. As for actual patterns, I don't know of any, but there are some great ideas there and I know that JoAnn Fabrics carries the Ohio State Fabric. I hope that helps some. Again...welcome to the Quilting Board!

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. There have been some great 2 colour school quilts on Quiltingboard. They picked a regular quilt pattern like Hunter's Star and inserted the school initials in a couple of light blocks.

You might also take a look at ellifour's quilt that was posted this week. Type in the title White Sox Quilt in the search box. She used the Log Cabin block with baseball fabric in the centers.
