Hi!
I am retiring from teaching in June of this year and intend to become a very serious hobbyist! Quilting, writing, painting, scrapbooking, cross stitiching, photography... I HAVE to use up all the supplies I've bought in the past 30 years and never had time to use! I have made many quilts and hope to post some pictures later. Both my mom and grandmother were serious needleworkers and my daughter who is 23 is starting to admire my work and leaf through my patterns when she is home from university. I am married ( divorced 20 years ago and remarried in August of 2007) and have a sheltie and a schnauzer who are faithful companions, especially in my craft room as I work. Thanks for reading! Lori |

I'm jealous! Instead of retiring from teaching I started a whole new career. I'm wondering if I'll ever have time to do all the things I'd love to do. Guess I'll just keep squeezing them in where I can. Enjoy your freedom!

Is that your name? Reason for asking, My DIL's name is Harmony. It's not a common name, so I was curios. If you will please pardon the pun, She is very in tune to her name. I love her to pieces. |
I admire your determination. I was 49 in December and feel that I have given all I can to my Kindergarten teaching career... Also in Newfoundland we can retire when we have taught for 30 years... full pension. I'm going to enjoy it!
