Hello all you lovely quilters! I've been a fly on the wall of this message board for a little while now and thought I would finally introduce myself. I have been quilting for about 10 years now and LOVE it, as all you do! I really find that it feeds my soul. I recently have a lot of free time to do more quilting as my spouse has just become a long distance truck driver! So, I and my three cats have been whiling away the hours making quilted creations from our home in Rochester, NY. It's been a pleasure observing your posts and I cannot wait to start chiming in. You are such a talented bunch!!

Welcome aboard! I miss NY - I spent last summer in the Buffalo area for an internship (which actually allowed me to make my completely hand pieced/quilted quilt).

Greetings from Sacramento CA. I understand that you spend your "spouse-free time" quilting. My DH has been switched to evening shift so I generally spend my evenings in my sewing room. How long is yours usually on the road? (All my in-laws were truckers at one time or other.)

Hello from Allegany County. I agree with mic-pa. If you get a chance go to Material Rewards and take your $$. They have a wonderful selection of fabrics and tools. I'm thinking about taking a class there later this summer.

Thank you for all your lovely replies! I will check out the quilt shops you all suggested. I have not yet done so. I have lived in New York for 4 years, but the first two were consumed with work on my Masters, so I have not been out and about much. Sorry, alwaysjc, I don't know Sandy :D
