Hello! I've been reading the message board off and on for a while. Thought it was time I joined, so here I am. I'm a lone quilter, pretty much, and love other crafts as well. widowed, 2 grown sons, and multiple grandkids from my youngest son. love reading, nascar(Go Tony Stewart!), movies and so much more. I have one 14yr old scottish fold cat named GB - love Garth Brooks. As for quilting I like just about any kind, pieced, mahchine and hand quilting, some applique, not so much in the wild arty stuff. I love quilt shows and we have some good ones around here. looking to make some friends who share my love of fabric and quilts. So thanks for taking the time to read this long intro hope to talk to you all soon!

Yes, I live near by where the train crashed, about a mile and half. not a pretty site at all and my friends husband was one of the volunteers that came in to help out, said it was the worse thing he had ever seen.

I have never been to Roscoe, but know it's close by.

I do try to go to the april rosemont quilt show, the international. Love going to the Quilt Expo up in Madison, WI every Sept. This year there will be a quilt show in Hoffman Estates the week after the Madison show.

Where in CO are you? I used to live in Colorado Springs for a couple of years. loved the area and hated to leave, but family, money and job won out.
