Hello everyone,
I just joined this forum and thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. I've caught the quilting bug earlier this year, but I haven't had as much time to make things, and also sewing machine trouble, but hopefully this will change now. I only started learning to sew about a year ago, so I'm far from experienced, but I enjoy it very much! I'm 31, married, and live in Scotland. I'm also a knitter... and a cat lover! Looking forward to getting to know you all! Inghinn |

Greetings from the Sacramento valley in Northern California. Schottland is near and dear to DH's heart. It is the land of his ancestry. This is what an American Scott looks like. (Oh - and he helps me with my quilting projects.)

Wow, what a lovely and warm welcome I got from you all, thanks so much! It's great knowing so many people love Scotland, I do too!! :D There are many lovely Quilting shops here too, so come on over and don't forget to let me know!!

Inghinn, we do love Scotland, however where are those Quilt Shops? I can tell you a story of the shop we couldn't find. I found one on the internet before we left, hired a taxie and he drove us all over the town with no luck , it closed. the driver told us of a place he knows across the town around the castle and there it was. he left us there at a fabric store. in a corner was some quilting fabric, not much but it was 100% cotton. I was excited until I saw that the designer was from my own quilt shop! I had to go to Scotland to buy fabric from my home town! plus it cost double! I thought is was so funny.
