Wow that's great! It sounds like a lot of work but sooo rewarding. Thanks for the answer! My boss used to do kitten rescues and bottle feed 'em every 2 hours. I'm glad your calves are doing so well now.

One I have was a twin calf (105 pounds)and due to complications at birth he was unable to walk and could not get up to nurse as normal. So I brought him home, got him to take the bottle and put braces on his front legs. He is now three weeks old, no longer has braces and is doing wonderful! The other one I have was one that the mother gave birth and the next day she was found dead, leaving the calf an orphan. She is also doing super! Hope that answers what bottle calves are, and isn't to lengthy.

Judy, Welcome from down under... Nebraska! Looks like we have alot in common. I too learned to sew in my 10 years in 4-H. I always tell everyone I learned by peer pressure.
I had a home ec teacher for a leader, and her daughter was an excellent sewer. I am so glad I learned now, but back then I wasn't as excited. I got to help with lambs when my daughter wanted to do big animals her last 2 years of 4-H. We live in town, but we pulled that one off! I am a horticulturist and arborist, love to swim and garden and take photos. Sure glad that you joined us!
