Hi everyone, I'm Regina from Hattiesburg Mississippi and I've ben quilting with a long arm machine for about 6 years. I love it and 2 years ago
bought a machine of my very own. My favorite thing to do is applique. I'm looking for someone to swap patterns. I have lots of Sunbonnet Sues, chickens, paper dolls and stuff in general. Just ask I may have it. I have two shelves on my big bookcase full of notebooks that have patterns in them. I get up early in the mornings before work so I can quilt. This morning I quilted 3/4 of the quilt. My friend and I cut 5 1/2" blocks, sew theminto rows of 13 then 21 rows long and we call them our "giveaway quilts". We give them to people that are homeless for whatever reason. |
wow, sounds like you are busy, but still generous. Getting kind of rare these days :D

Hi Regina,
Welcome from Kansas. I love Applique as well, my next quilt for my bed, is going to be a combination of techniques. Applique, punch needle, etc. I made a Sunbonnet Sue for my daughter, over 20 years ago,she is now 25. She now wants me to make her something cool with black in it. I started teaching her how to make her first quilt this week. She is going to enter it in the county fair here in August. She and I both are so excited, she for making her first quilt, and me for her getting interested in quilting, my passion. I love it. Nice to have you in the group. |
