Hi!

I am not new to this site, just getting around to setting up my profile and thought I would introduce myself.

I have been involved with quilting for about 4 years, but, mostly have taken lots of workshops and classes. I have lots of PHDs in my storage waiting to be finished. I am knowledgeable about lots of techniques, but master of none, I guess. I am in the process of finishing up several projects now and am happy to have made room for other things. I have definitely decided I like to plan, select, piece a quilt than to do the quilting. I do okay with stitch in the ditch, but, not good at FMQ. I am too tense! I also do wool applique and love it as it is very portable.

We have lived near Winona, MN for a little over a year and moved here from Maryville, TN. My daughter and her family live here and they wouldn't move to TN, so we had to come north to watch the grand kids grow up. But, we also live in ND, SD, KS, and IN. So I have hit all the Ota states, as I have come to nicknamed them. It is easier.

I find that everyone has interesting tips and are very helpful on this site and am looking forward to staying up to date with you.

Welcome from Texas. If PHD means projects half done I think I'll use that instead of WIP.

Hello and welcome from an Iowa girl! The area around Winona is just lovely--lots of bald eagles this time of year.
