Hello, everyone. I'm so glad I found this forum. I've been quilting for years, but I never thought to look for such a forum. Because I have more than enough quilts in my house and on my walls, and my family has enough as well, I gave it up for awhile to devote to my writing.
Well, I'm published now and divide my time between my quilting and promoting my books. I don't want to do the elaborate, time-consuming projects I did before, so I'm doing simple scrap quilts from all the scraps I've acquired over the years. I don't know what I'm going to do with them, but I'm having fun. Okay, I've blathered on long enough. Now I'm going to explore the site. Joyce |

Joyce If no one has mentioned this yet... there are several organizations that want quilts for needy folks. Linus project, vets, quilts for kids in hospitals, wheel chair 'bags', senior center homes, etc. You probably know all about this. There are some ladies in my church, who routinely make a nice, but not too complicated bed size quilt, and donate it to the church for special raffles or giveaways. Helps to raise money for mission trips, etc. When you get around to it, post some pictures of some of your favorite quilts in the 'pictures' section. Love to see them! kim, from sunny, rainy, mosquito-ey South Florida! |
