Hello from Southern California! Our son graduated from Gonzaga last May. We really enjoyed our visits to Spokane!! I'm sure you will enjoy this board - everyone is so helpful!

Welcome from Odessa!

Welcome from Wyoming. You live in beautiful country. When my husband were college students in Pullman, we sometimes made the trip to visit your fair city. You will love this site, but be warned, spending time here can quickly become an adiction.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! I feel right at home. My next project, which my 28-year-old daughter has generated for "us" (she lives on the west side, I live 300 miles east, and she has a baby. Guess who's going to be doing the project!) is a quilt, crib skirt, curtains, tiebacks, receiving blankets, diaper stacker, lampshade cover, burp cloths, and pillow, which is what I made for her when the baby was due. She has a friend who is pregnant and would love a similar set. So she and her friend bought all the coordinating fabric in navy, chartreuse, and white, mostly various size circles and stripes. They don't know if it's a boy or girl. Here's what I woiuld like to hear opinions about: whatever happened to sweet, charming baby prints and pastels?!

Hello Colleen - welcome to the Board from another Spokane quilter.

Hi-- Quilting is the other brain function I do to counteract my job. It's wonderful to be able to fit all the pieces together, do the math, do all the creative parts, and get a break from my work. I'm in Millwood, but work in the entire area, also travelling to Moses Lake and Lewiston. :-) THanks for the welcome.

Hi JUdy--We love it here. Have been in Spokane since 1978, and appreciate it almost every day. You are right about the addiction to this site. Quilters are very unique.

I'm in! All of the above. I just discovered a darling little shop on Locust just off Sprague in the Valley. Nice people, too. It's called A Heart Like Yours.

I'm in, too. Recovering from total knee surgery but I'll be ready to go soon. PS Love A Heart Like Yours.
