Yes, I live just a few miles from the Gwinnett Ctr where the Georgia Quilt Show is at! Sweet!!
My current "dilemma" is whether to have a 7 yr old Brother CS8072 repaired for $89.......or replace it with an SQ9000. I have LOVED my 8072 - and the repairman assures me to repair it is the wiser choice as Brother machines bought over 5 years ago (when the machines were re-designed) are much superior to the newer ones. I have a 2 yr old Innovis QC1000 - and I have to admit, its stitches are not as nice as the 8072, which is sad considering the difference in cost!
If anyone wants to weigh in with their opinion, I'd love to hear it!

If you like the machine, repair it. I'd go with the repair. Repairmen usually are knowledgeable on things like that.

Hi and Welcome from NC! Why not do both? I have 3 machines threaded and a serger at all times....It saves me from changing thread so much ;)

As I get older I feel the old ones are better-- get it fixed --Todays models are all plastic and alot for show, not how well they last. Enjoy hello from New York too!

Welcome from Minnesota! I think you should do both -- it's always nice to have a spare. :)

I say get the one repaired the newer ones don't seem to hold up as well,but if you do decide to get the new one make sure the inside parts are metal,otherwise if you have trouble with it repairman may not want to work on it,just my opinion.
