Hello :)
My name is Vanessa, and I'm from Roswell, NM (UFO place of the country). I started enjoying quilting when I was very young. My great-grandmother started teaching me when I was 5 years old. She passed away shortly after the first five lessons, or so, but I have still hung on to the lessons she taught me 28 years ago. My maternal grandmother, who is still living, helped me with my first quilt after I had my daughter, Brenna. By this time, I had a son already. I was super busy due to his heart conditions so I was not able to do quilting until my daughter's birth.
I have a passion to pass on quilting to both of my children, if they should want to learn, so that they may carry on with my family's traditions. My current project, which I will be starting soon, is a double irish chain made from their baby blankets and some of their baby clothes. One quilt for each of my children. :) |
