Hello!
Hi, all! I stumbled upon these forums when looking for some information and decided to join in on the fun! I am in my late 20's and am happily married to my husband for 4 years and we have two beautiful daughters (ages 2 1/2 and 8 months). I took a quilting class about a year ago and have been quilting non-stop since. In the past year I have made more than 10 quilts. I am officially addicted! I am still learning a lot and I can't wait to learn more from you all here!

Some of us just enjoy taking apart perfectly good fabric and putting it back together again stuff, and it sure is nice to have a place to talk about it with people who understand. Jump on in, and we love pictures (once we figure out how to post them!). |

Thank you all! I work on my projects when I can, which is mostly at nap time. Otherwise I try to entertain my kiddos while I'm sewing by singing songs https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/smile.png I will have to share some photos!

Welcome from Maine, so glad you stumbled upon the forum, there are lots of good ideas and help here. Must be doing your quilting during nap times with your two little ones, or after bedtime for them. I have babysat two of my grandchildren, and the only quilt time I got was during their naps. I have a picture of one of my DGS sleeping in his portacrib next to my sewing machine, it was like white noise for him, it would put him to sleep everytime.

Welcome from Southern California. I started to sew seriously when my children were small and I was about your age. It's wonderful therapy!

Hi - land welcome!
I also started to sew at a young(er) age - but didn't start qullting until I was in my 50's. |
Hi from overcast Southern California. I've been sewing and quilting for many years, taught at college level and still take classes whenever I can. I think they're shortcuts to learning new things and having new sewing adventures. When my children were little, they treasured the clothes I made them. You'll find lots of helpful information here, and kind and thoughtful sewing friends.
