I am new to this board. I am in Utah, just southwest of Salt Lake City. I have played around with quilting most of my life, mostly making one piece tied quilts.
I now want to learn to do pieced quilts. I have done a couple but would like to learn some new techniques. I hope to get to know many of you! The rag quilt I made Made from old jeans This one was made for my first Grandson |

I grew up in Washington State, on a farm on the banks of the Yakima River, about twenty miles before it flowed into the Columbia River. The town was Benton City. |

Welcome from Tennessee,

Thanks, Retta. I've found some lightweight denim, so I think I'm going to use that as well. Thanks for the advice.
I see you're from Utah. Our granddaughter lives in Lehi, so we come to Utah occasionally. We're LDS and BYU graduates, so we like to "find our roots." I've never done any shopping for fabric, etc. there for quilts because Lehi is a stopover to touch base with our granddaughter and then head on to Arizona and California to meet other family members. Ah well...someday. Thanks again. |
