Hello! I'm Emily. I'm 33 and from Columbus, Ohio. I'm working on my very first quilt. My mom gave me some squares that she had pieced together before her vision started failing and I cut some pieces out to make a few more squares to have a nice couch quilt for snuggling one of my handsome men (husband, 2 sons) and cute kitties.
I'm very excited to get started and I look forward to exploring this board and getting to know you all.

I was channeling my mother tonight and it occurred to me that she quilted her first quilt when she was 33.

I clearly remember whenever my mom would make a mistake she'd go , "Ohhh, Donna" in a chiding tone. I did that at least 4 times (in the process of sewing together two squares!).

Lest you all think that she's gone, she's not. It was just very funny to me.
