Hello from Tennessee!

Hey y'all!
I am very new to the world of quilting...I have only ever sewn clothing, but have always dreamed of making quilts! I am a college student here in Nashville (art major) and I am learning to make/making a quilt as part of my senior show. I am extremely excited (and extremely nervous!) about this new adventure and when I found this forum I knew right away it would be a great source of information.
Can't wait to be a part of this world!

Welcome from Minneapolis! I'm a garment sewer too, and the main difference you'll find is that in quilting you'll be using a 1/4" seam for everything rather than a 5/8". Definitely follow the advice to see Missouri Star Quilt Company's videos on YouTube - they're very educational and you'll find Jenny Doan's instructions easy to follow.
