I'm a newbie to this board. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and maybe learn some quilting tips from y'all. I have been quilting about 12 years and love everything about quilting. I'm not an expert by any means, but I love learning and trying new things. I'm married to a wonderful husband for 10 years - in April, I have 3 grown kids - James 36, Jeremy 32, and Keri soon to turn 31 this month. I also have a stepson who turned 34 last may.

Happy Quilting,
Susan

Here is a big ole howdy from a fellow TEXAN. Welcome, and you will enjoy this site. I get busy and forget to check it for a while and always get excited when I get a chance to get back on and see what everyone has been up to......ENJOY. By the way, which part of the state are you located?

Texas_Sue 01-07-2009 05:03 PM

Hi, Jaynie. I'm from the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I'm actually in Euless, but DFW airport is practically at our back door.

Glad I found this board. The people are so friendly.

Texas_Sue 01-07-2009 05:21 PM

Hi to MN. Are you all having a lot of snow? We don't see much down here. In fact it was in the 70's this afternoon and will be another warm one tomorrow before our next cold spell.

Welcome from St. Louis, Missouri. There is so much to learn here. I am a hand quilter with a church group and love to piece. Have been doing some paper piecing lately. Will have to learn how to post pics here to share.

Texas_Sue 01-07-2009 05:27 PM

Thanks for the welcome Sharon. I was in St. Louis in November. Was sent to work at another office for the week. What little I got to see was very nice. I'm trying to learn to paper piece, too!

Hey, neighbor. Welcome from South Louisiana (Iberia Parish). My daughter and I have been out your way to the Martha Pullen Sewing Market in Arlington. We've been twice.

I have a nephew living in Dallas. Anyway, welcome to the board. I have learned so much since I joined. These people are so sincere and kind. So willing to help.
