Hi, I am new to quilting. I have been sewing and cross stitching for years. I have always loved quilts and decided late last year to try my hand at it. Not making good progress though  I have been lurking this board for about 8 months so I thought it was time to introduce myself.

I bought a long arm maching from a nice lady on this board, got it all set up and I don't know how to use it. I have a quilt shop here in town and have been trying to get into classes but it never fails that something always comes up, work, kids, grandkids.

I love looking at all the projects everyone has done or are currently working on. The people here seem very nice and supportive. I am very glad I found this site.

Welcome from a fellow Texan! I am new here, too. Have been quilting for about 2 years but haven't accomplished much! Would love to have a LAM but do not have the room for one!

Greetings from Sacramento CA. Good luck with your machine. I'm sure you'll find someone (or a good tutorial) to help you get her started.

Hi everyone, I'm from Texas too, N Texas area. Finally found the quilting forum because have question that can't get answered anywhere else (see my new post under Main on quilting top and quilting bottom separately).

I've quilted for several years, mostly for my own kids and close close friends. I do fleece rag quilts for graduation gifts. The last couple of years I've mainly done flannel rag quilts. My oldest daughter graduates from college next year and I've decided to actually begin quilting "real" quilts now.

I signed up on quilting gallery for the summertime mini-quilt swap and so I've been playing with new ideas and new thoughts that I haven't tried before so I may periodically need some feedback.
