Hi! My name is Jennifer, and I'm new to the boards as well as to quilting.

I have a piece of my first quilt sitting in front of me :D
It's a themed Girl Scout memory quilt made partly with my old vests and patches from my 12 years in Girl Scouts. I'll give it to my mother on her birthday next month, since she was my troop leader.
In the process of making this quilt I found out I really love quilting!! So I'm definitely going to be making more, and I figured I should join some like-minded people here at Quilting Board :)

A little about me - I'm 21 and newly married to my college sweetheart. I'm an artsy-fartsy kind of girl, always looking for the next project or painting to complete. I love anything crafty, creative, and/or inventive and artistic. My grandmother was a seamstress so I'm thinking this sewing thing is in my blood

Welcome to the board from a fellow Texan. You will find more ideas and inspiration here than your fingers can sew. We love to see each others work and give encouragement and praise. Happy Quilting!

Hey girl, welcome from East Texas. Have family in Plano. Your like me, I have been sewing since I was about 8 years. Did some quilting when I was young. Made a few baby blankets but since I retired I do it all the time.

Hi to all of you quilters! Happy New Year! This is my first post of many I hope. I am in Manton, MI between Cadillac and Traverse City. Beautiful snowy country. Just like all of you, I love to quilt.

Howdy - from Texas too - I'm from Benbrook - far west Fort Worth. I wish I had started quilting at 21. I just turned 55 and have been saying I wanted to make a quilt for probably 20 years - and I'm still a newby - but I am almost finished with my first quilt. Dont be like me - just do it - and post pictures.
Blessings,
Scherrie
PS And I have never been to a quilt show but would love to.
