Hi and welcome from Memphis, Tn.
Quilting is so addictive, I just love it! To me a bad day is any day I don't get to quilt. |
I may be one of the older quilters (in years, not quilting), on here,...but, what is the Lick Observatory? I am in Florida, welcome to our group. You will be welcomed, helped, informed, taught, amused, but never bored! so, ppl say your in a great place, well, now that makes two! C
(C is not for crazy, but not offended if ppl use it. some of us have long nicks...in fact, go to member list....oh my goodness, the names u will c there!) |
The Lick Observatory! Wowsers! You sure get a stunning view of the Silicon Valley from there! And if there's snow in the "area", we can be certain that's where to find it. It sure is pretty up there, especially in the winter when it's green!
I haven't been up there on a Friday yet, but I've been other times. It's sure an impressive place! We hope to see pictures of what you've done, are working on, fabric purchased-- . I'd also love it if you could post some pictures of around where you live. Especially green ones. |

Especially green ones. thanks for posting this celeste! trying to figure out what it was, (The Lick O.), my mind was going all over the place, from cows and salt 'licks', and then you mentioned "Fridays"...I thought, hmmm, what happens on Fridays... do little gnomes come out and do the chicken dance? LOL... umm, haven't had coffee yet...oh, yeah,...I don't drink coffee      |
You live up the street from my in-laws. They live off Alum Rock Avenue. I grew up in San Jose, myself. I went to High School at Independence. What a small world! How do you like living up at Lick? My husband almost went to high school at James Lick. He and his sisters got a waiver to go to Independence, also.
