Hello from Tucson

Just started quilting ~6 months ago. Still working on accuracy in measuring, cutting and sewing. Every block is better than the one before. Please be patient if I ask elementary questions.

Welcome from Tennessee. We all started somewhere. No question is too basic. Asking is the only way to learn

Welcome from Nevada right on the Arizona border. Your right about practice makes perfect or very close too. You'll also pick up lots of hints here that you can incorporate as you go along. Happy quilting!

Welcome from Southern California. You will get all sorts of answers. You learn real fast how many different ways there are to do something with the same outcome.

Well, PVGiles, welcome from New York state! We expect newbies to ask questions! If anyone gets snarky, they may still be teaching you...just that not everyone is a nice teacher! Hopefully everyone who helps you, does it with the passion of quilting in their heart. Those who don't, can suck it!

I hope you enjoy your new hobby! We use a lot of abbreviations here...here's a few to get you started
DH-dear (or damn) husband
DW-dear wife
DD-dear daughter
DS-dear son
DGD-dear grand daughter
MIL-mother in law
FIL-father in law
HST-half square triangle
LA-long arm (expensive machine used for the actual process of quilting)
