Hi and welcome from down under. My first patchwork and appliqué quilt was sun bonnet Sue ( known as Holly Hobby in the early '80s). I also did her in embroidery on white linen. I have a cluster of auto immune diseases including RA,Psoriatic Arthritis, Inflammatory Arthritis + others ) . I can appreciate your pain and being stopped from hand work ( and many other work and play activities). I am just starting again after being unable to do anything or 12 months. Hang in there and keep the hands going when ever you can.
