Hello from Upstate SC

Hi everyone!
I've been a major "lurker" for a long time, but I'm finally posting some comments, so here I am.
I live in Gaffney, SC, home of the "Big Peach" (which really looks more like a big butt - truly!). I've been quilting for 30+ years, and have had my longarm for about 5 years.
I'm more into the "traditional" patterns, and prefer at least twin-sized quilts. I seldom do wall-hangings, but did one the other day specifically to hang at my daughter's baby shower next weekend (my FIRST grandbaby!!).
I love drooling (but not really) over other people's applique quilts, as that seems to be a real challenge for me. I especially like the ones that have 3-D flowers and blooms and stuff like that.
I don't know how many quilts I've made, as I often give them away.

I always learn new things from this site, even though I haven't been active myself.
So, that's all about me... except, like many others here, I'm a technology professional by trade. :)

Welcome neighbor, waving from just across the NC state line. Personally I love the big peach. Nice to have you join us. I'm so green; you're closer to Mary Jo's than I am. You're going to fit right in here.

Hah!! I used to live less than a mile from Mary Jo's!! And I still pass it on my commute to and from work! Where in NC are you located, Libster? Don't you just love how spoiled we are here in the Carolinas with all the quilt shop hops? I think I counted one time, there are over 60 LQS's in the Carolinas!!! And that's not counting Mary Jo's or Joann's or Hobby Lobby.
Yep, I'm spoiled. :)

I'm in the Monroe area. Hey, we just got a new Jo-ann's here. It's nice, but it's definitely NOT Mary Jo's!!
