Hi! I have been enjoying this site since I discovered it around Christmas time last year. So inspiring and so friendly! It is really wonderful to find a site that offers so much encouragement and appreciation to all.

As for me, I took up quilting about 12 years ago, but didn't accomplish much. I hadn't sewn before, and trying to teach myself produced just so-so results. I hadn't touched my sewing machine in years when I decided last fall I wanted to get back to it. Looking around the web for some inspiration led me to Quilting Board. So happy to have found it.

Some of the first things that really caught my eye were the twister quilts. They were totally new to me and so cute! I have made a few twister tops and have included a photo of one here (I hope). It's not quilted or bound, I am very slow about that stuff!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thanks for the inspiring posts and photos. Maybe now I will finish the UFOs that have been sitting there for a decade!

Welcome Kele! Love your twister - it's so pretty. I've never tried that one, but you have me intrigued. I'm in Vermont, but spent last July exploring your beautiful state while visiting my daughter who was in Puyallup at the time. Found a nice quilt shop in Graham. We toured Quinault Rain Forest, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, Seattle of course (loved Pike's Market) and spent a couple of nights in LaPush at the Quileute reservation. Anyway, glad you've joined us!
