Mim :lol: We went to Plymouth Rock in Plymouth, Ma & discovered that it is just a rock with a wooden box built around it. Not a very big rock at that. Our quilt shops are small and really reflect the personality of the owner. One shop in the Sebago area specialises in cat fabrics.
Another owner loves bright colors -- no Thimbleberry fabrics there :-) I taught in a Thimbleberry lover shop -- Very conservative New England colors and patterns. I found out in my travels how relative "old" really is. in the US 'old" is 2 to 300 years -- in Europe "old" is a couple thousand. And in the far east and middle east it is even older. I totally agree with you that "old" is relative. Depends on where you are.
How do those shops survive if they specialize in something like cat fabrics? That seems odd to me. Shops need to serve a wide variety of customers in order to survive. Must be a lot of cat lovers in that neighborhood. LOL. |

they have a good supply of a wide selection of fabrics. They specialise in cats. -- they have a "shop cat" too.
I found the shop when I was in a cat fabric swap with an international group. It was started by a girl in Denmark. this is a wall hangong I made from some of them. I call it Cats in my Attic Windows Mim |
Mim, those are really cute cat fabrics. If that swap was international, where all was your fabric from? I don't really know how a fabric swap works.
