Hi everyone. My name is Kim from Wisconsin. I have been quilting for about 3 years now. I took a class with some friends and I am the one that got hooked right away. I have been in a slump for about 4 to 5 months now where I haven't even looked in my sewing room. To much stress although quilting it what always relaxed me. It just seems my get up and go has got up and gone. I thought that joining a group like this would get me back in the swing of things. I have enjoyed reading your posts and look forward to reading more :)

Welcome from Southern California. Hopefully looking around here will inspire you to get back into that sewing room and quilting away. I go through times too where I find other things to do and not quilt, all it takes is looking at some beautiful work for inspiration.

Welcome, Kim, from St. Louis. I grew up in the Milwaukee area. Quilting is great therapy to help get over the slumps! Wishing good things for you!

Hello from Upper Michigan! Where are you in Wisconsin? (I live right on the border.)

This is a great site- full of encouraging and helpful quilters!

Did you make the quilt in your avatar? It's beautiful!!

Thank you for the welcomes.

I am about an hour north of Milwaukee.

Yes I did and thank you very much. I got the inspiration from a quilt that my husband brought home on a trip to Oklahoma he had with his Aunt. And the quilt had been in their family for years and now my husbands mother has it and I just had to try to do one of them. That is the last one that I have completed in awhile. But looking at all the beautiful quilts that everyone here has done or is working on is definitely inspiring!

Oh, you aren't all that far away from me. I live in Menominee, which is about an hour north of Green Bay.

(Are you a Danny Gokey fan???) (I just love him.)

I agree, wandering around on here is inspiring!

Welcome from NE CA. Glad you joined us. Sorry you've been in the dumps lately, but maybe you'll get out of them.

Love looking at all the beautiful work that the board members do!
Is your avatar a Cathedral Window? I want to do another one soon. I need some carrying around work.
