hi--I live in western NE. Every fall, the 3 quilt groups in the county get together for a luncheon and program. Last yr the theme was aprons, along with food from the "50"s(lots of jello recipes!)--also had everyone sew a cute pincushion. Any ideas for themes -- as we are to hostess the group in the fall--starting early for wonderful ideas. thank you!!

Welcome from Ohio. Last year at a retreat we had a Hawaiian theme. You could make fabric leis or a small stuffed sea turtle.

went to one - 'Breast Cancer Awareness' the theme.
We were asked to bring block/s that used pink & white fabrics - members of sponsoring guilds will make into quilts & use for cancer patients or raffle with $$ donated to area Cancer fund
We each rec'd a pin made will small rolled pinks & with BC ribbon charm glued onto cardboard - PM me if you want to see pict.
Program was a trunk show - Pretty in Pink - speaker shared quilts from 1800's to present ~ all had pink in them.

"show & tell" participants shared projects they had done using pink fabrics
