Hello fellow quilters,

I've been lurking for quite a while and I guess it's time to come out
of the woods. I am a self-taught quilter. Learned a lot from this board
and still have lots more to learn. Started quilting last summer and caught
the bug. So far I've finished one quilt (YBR with SITD - more like SOTD). LOL.
I've also made a French Braid and a Garden Treillis (all those bias
edges and I still haven't learned my lesson). From now on I will be
hugging my starch bottle.
Let's not talk about that first WIP/UFO. I hope to make a duvet cover or
something with it one day. We'll see.
A few weeks ago I asked my DH (who likes to play with computers)
to make me a program to layout my quilts which he kindly obliged.
I posted a link in "Links and Resources" for those interested. It's free for
anyone to use/download.

I really enjoy this board. Thanks for all the sharing and enabling.
My wallet thanks you too.

Happy Quilting!

Welcome from the greater Los Angeles area. Sounds like you jumped into quilting with both feet! I'd love to see pictures of your french braid. I am getting inspired to do one from all the pictures I've seen in here.

Welcome from Alberta. Are you British by any chance? We used to say 'easy peasy' when I was in school in Wales.

Well, when my Mom asked me how I got on in the 11 plus exam (way back in the dark ages!) I said 'Easy peasy'. Havn't heard that phrase since. What is your background? I lived in Wales until I married a young lad from Liverpool .. no not one of the Beatles, but he talked like one. We then moved to Cardiff and from there we emigrated to Canada in 1974, first to Montreal for 4 years and then to Calgary. This is where we call 'home' now.

Nice to know you, you will enjoy the 'Board". I lurked for about three years before I finally made myself known a few days ago.
