It seemed it took forever but now that it's done I miss the job.
The reward of having something the way you made it is worth every second!

Hey and a Big Show Me State WELCOME.
Don't see your quilt!! ;-(
what kind of machines do you have?

StitchShifter 09-16-2011 05:32 PM

Hey Louisiana,
I copied the design from a quilt I had a long time ago. When it was falling apart I looked at ti and found it was completely hand sewn. I could not imagine how long it would take to sew one like it by hand.
But I love the design and the way it is engineered with no batting.

I have OLD machines, I have a favorite Pfaff 332 for my heavy stuff, canvas, billboard tarp vinyl. I use my White 764 for my quilt and repairs, I have a few Necchi Supernovas, one in the cabinet with the chair and every last attachment and all the books and original receipt, a few old hand crankers, Jones, Kohler, and even a Russian made Jones Singer 99 clone (hand cranker)
A Singer 319K and a W, A 1912 White Treadle with most of the original manual (newsprint paper) and a few other treddle heads, a Singer Rocketeer that needs a power cord and foot pedal, and a Glenenn Machine Co Embellishment machine in perfect shape. I didn't even know what the Glennen was but it was in perfect shape so I bought it for $4. I saw ONE Once on Ebay and they were asking $599.00 for it. I have a couple others Janome, Brother, Eldredge rotary. http://www.youtube.com/user/sewingmachineheaven <You can see a lot of them there.
