I am a Snowbird 5 1/2 months of the year. Until last year I was a very active quilter.. life happens and have lost desire to quilt... still buying fabric ( an addition?? LOL).... I know I will get back into the stitch and rip mod, just need some inspiration and I think I found the perfect site to help me...

I'm not a snowbird, although my husband's oldest sister and her husband are. I do understand continuing to buy fabric but not sewing. After I had surgeries a couple of years ago, I've had a lack of motivation. I do continue to read on here and have learned much, as you will. And welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.

Hello from Nebraska, good for you for reaching out. You will enjoy being part of this board. I'm kind of a snowbird, too. For a much shorter time than you though. Usually 3 months, this year we were ready to come home after 2 months for some reason and so we did. So enjoy your time reading about quilts and buying fabric when you feel like it. Don't pressure yourself to have to sew. You will when you are ready.

:) welcome from se TX -- inspiration is sometimes hard to come by -- most of mine has come from my little quilting bee where others provide the encouragement and projects and even inspiration -- we meet twice a month , once a Saturday meet/eat and sew, and another time to eat out and visit -- most of the group are very avid quilters and have lots to show and tell-- right now I am in need of motivation to sew and quilt again too but it will come
