Welcome from Philadelphia - the home of "THE LIBERTY BELL" (important to U.S.A.)
I looked at your quilts and like them. Some I like for the pattern and fabric choices. Other quilts I like for the Whimsey! (sweet and delightful fabric choices) Quilter68 - that has now has become 69 |
Welcome to the site. I live in Brigham City, Utah, USA I love reading your blog and looking at the beautiful things you make.
This next year I want to try trapunto embroidery. I love the way it looks. Is it very hard? Christmas in Russia must be a beautiful thing. So many of the old traditions are still maintained. I love the old world styles of cooking, decorating and celebrating. What does your family do to make the holiday special? |

Marina, I am happy you are sharing your works with us. They are all beautiful!! Your english is good!
Utah is like the united nations, many cultures and languages. Where I work is also the same. I have many Russion and Euopean friends. We keep a list of who speaks what language in case a translator is needed. Last night I introduced Julia to a friend, Marcia, from Russian decent. Julia found out Marcia's mothers madden name and Knows somone here who is probably related to her, as the last name is rare and there are few people with that last name. We would love to see more of you work! Meg |

Welcome Marina. Great to have you !!

I have been a quilter over 40 years, an now 81. More recently we(husband and I) have been chatting with a man who speaks fluent Russian, taught English in the Ukraine a few years ago. We see him in a fast-food chain restaurant for breakfast. I copy articles and comments in Russian for him to read, now will tell Gary about "connecting" with you. Your English is perfect!. Show us your work. Doris from Denver, Colorado, USA

Welcome from Vermont. One of my daughters majored in Russian and spent a few years in your country studying and working, and everyone there was so generous to her. Once, as a student in Yaroslavl she got very sick and a doctor took her into her own home to care for her. Glad you joined our group and thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures with us!

Hello, Marina, and welcome from Quiltjoey (JoAnn) Summerville, SC, USA! Your bags are lovely and so professional looking. I love the star quilt and all the other stars you've made! Hearing from such a lovely person like you on the other side of the world makes it seem smaller and nicer! I love the Internet and all it's possibilities to meet a wonderful, new quilter and friend! :)
