Hi all!

I’m a brand new quilter from Arizona. I’ve been a paper crafter for years and have always wanted to quilt but just haven’t done it. A couple of weeks ago I decided it was time! I bought a sewing machine and some fabrics and have been devouring tutorials. I just completed my first quilt top today. It’s small and has some ugly parts but I made it and I love it! I had so much fun making it....now to quilt it.....:)

Welcome, and congratulations, and wow! You work fast! Can you treat us to a picture or two of the top you've made?

Hi and welcome from North Carolina! Wow! It took me about 3 years to complete my first quilt! Of course, it was way before the internet and all the tutorials. Don't worry about mistakes. All of us make them. That's what that little seam ripper thingy is for. :) Just keep enjoying your quilts.

Hello and welcome, RheddHedd (love the handle!) from Soggy Seattle. I have a dear friend in Gilbert that I visit, the Phoenix area is just full of quilters and has some nice shops.

Big congratulations on your first project!

This board is a place full of nice helpful people, some of whom do fantastic work. Others (like me) well... I keep busy :p

Hi from your neighbor in the Valley! Lots of great shops in town, many have classes if you get the urge to...I found taking the 'beginners' course gave me a boost of confidence and lots of good tips to start with!
