Welcome from Duncan, OK--not very far from you. I'm a native Texan from S. Texas about 100 miles from San Antonio. Have lived in Duncan for 50 years now, as of last week. I'm new to quilting although my love for it was fostered by my grand-mother when I was a teenager when she had me start piecing a 9-Patch. When I was in college, she and my aunt put them together and quilted it. She hand-carded the cotton she put in it. She was almost 80 at that time. She passed away in 1971 just after I finished an 8-week course of study at Southeastern at Durant, OK Happy quilting.
