New to this forum , but not to quilting ,Im 75, been married 5 years this time, the first time was for 53 years before my husband died of cancer, Started sewing on a shuttle machine with the round wooden top, it did not even sew backwards, graduated to a 930 Bernina and now I also have a 440QE , I bought this model because I can download my own pictures and embroider them,we travel around in a small 17 foot Casitas, and take lots of pictures, I wanted to make my own memories into quilts , felt the 440 was the best way to do it, I need to learn how to import my own pictures into the software program, I have just started doing the embroidery part with a laptop computer, I have three children,7 grandchildren, about 18 great grandkids and 1 g-great grand daughter,

Hello from Western Australia.....Would love to see pics of your work. You certainly have a large family to quilt for. I wish my Mother would embrace technology as you have...she is not a quilter but a keen knitter, the guy at her local haberdashery told her to get patterns off the internet, he doesn't stock many now as people just want more variety and the prices are high.
