I have been hovering over this site for a few years now, and always enjoy reading the posts and comments. I have learned a lot here and look forward to receiving the Konstantin email regularly. I can relate to most of the topics... I've been quilting for 6 or 7 years, and I'm still addicted (to fabrics, patterns, shows, anything quilty). To AFW from Florida: I will be in New Smyrna for the month of March with another quilter friend. We will be looking for quilt shops or events. Can you steer us to these in your area?
Penny ps: I love this site!! |

Hi, I'm new to all of this but I'm learning everytime I visit. The picture by your name, is that one of the butterfly patterns found online. I think I downloaded it thinking my daughter would love it. But I haven't paper pieced yet, and it looks really hard. Did you find it difficult?

Hey you, I was at the quilt show on sat and sun. I missed you. It would have been so nice to meet you. Maybe we'll meet at the NPQG show in March 19-21 if you come down.

Hi Neighbor, I live in Hampton.... we've probably crossed paths. I won't be at the show in March.. will be in Florida. Do you ever go over to the Quilt Company or Piecing It Together. I've joined the new Scrap Quilt Club at Piecing It Together on Sat, Feb 6th. Maybe our paths will cross at one of these places....

Hi Lucky Breezes, The Butterfly is not paper pieced. It is from a book called "Quilts Without Corners" by Cheryl Phillips. It measures about 50" by 60" and is made as a circle... strips sets are sewn together and cut into wedges with a 9" wedge ruler. It's a bit challenging, but if you follow the directions step-by-step, it can be done. There are other interesting round patterns in the book that I want to try... One is "Bargello in the Round." Give it a try..........
