Hi Everyone from Virginia
I have been quilting for over 25 years thanks to my most wonderful ex-MIL. She taught me hand quilting and I learned Piecing from taking lots of classes. I love scrap quilting, am a great fan of Bonnie Hunter and Augusta Cole. Love the precision of paper piecing and bright colors! I also teach Beginning Quilting through our local library each fall for free. This is how I pass on my knowledge & love of quilting to others. I am married and we have 4 indoor cats and 2 outdoor/semi-feral cats. Although our kitties are great at fabric selection and placement, they just can’t operate the sewing machine which is why I enjoy teaching. I am looking forward to getting to know many of you to share ideas, techniques, and questions about quilting, or cats too!

Hi neighbor, I am right off Rt. 218. Thanks for saying hello. What kind of quilting do you enjoy best?
I see you like scrappy, Bonnie Hunter style quilting. And paper piecing - where did you take classes for that technique? I'm interested as that will be my next big challenge. What library are you teaching at? I've been to the Crazy Cousin a few times but since I'm a little closer to Richmond, I usually head that way vs. F'burg. I certainly will be up your way the end of September for the Expo! Honestly, I'm continuously inspired by the gorgeous finished work shared on this forum - that, and the incredible amount of information shared by so many talented, veteran quilters has been invaluable to me. Always admiring and learning on here - I hope you enjoy the forum just as much. Be sure to join in the great discussions and post pictures - we all love pictures here! Christine |
Welcome from Sperryville, VA. I participate in the Project Linus group which is based in the Fredericksburg area. You've come to the right place for lots of inspiration. Such talented folks here!
