I recently signed up when I needed to talk to someone about my red flannel bleeding onto the white on a cool Christmas tree rag quilt. I learned the hard way - I used to always prewash - but got away with it the first time I washed it.
Just don't
get in a hurry like I did. Thanks for all your help and so quickly

I think you have some beautiful projects. I love to hear about my
favorite subject in so many different ways.

The recipes are a nice sideline too!

I have been sewing on and off since I was a girl. Now that the kids are grown I've been pursuing more and trying alot of new ideas.
I've worked in a fabric store part time up until recently.
I am so blessed cause I've met some really talented friends and they are so willing to pass on their knowledge.
Looking forward to checking in with you again Ginny :D

Welcome Ginny! Do you have any pictures of the quilt? I hope it isn't all pink!

Welcome Ginny! I sure hope your red quilt comes out ok..so disheartening for that to happen

Maybe you'll have more fun..just gabbing with us. Post a pic of your quilt so we can all commiserate with you. (i'm trying to teach my hubby how to do that without trying to solve the problem-its not going too well so far

Hi Ginny. Welcome on board. We are so glad you joined us. It's sunny and warm in TX today. Post pics. We all love to see what everyone else is doing.

Synthropol might possibly save your red/white project if you haven't washed and dried it yet. I get mine from Dharma Trading Company online. It's a detergent specially designed to prevent bleeding and can sometimes lift out migrated dye molecules from the white fabrics.
