Hi I am new to quilting. I have been sewing for over 40 years, but I am new to quilting. My mother and grandmother were both quilters, but they are deceased. I have an aunt who quilts. I am so glad I found you so I can ask questions about my new found craft. I do lots of other crafts but I have always liked to sew. I believe I will love quilting. I always liked the quilts my mother and grandmother made for me and other family members. I have a hand embroidered and quilted state bird and flower quilt my mom made for me before she passed. What would be a new beginner quilt to start on. Waiting to here from you.

Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D

A simple 4 patch, rail fence or a snow ball block would be a good beginner project.

Hi Linda, welcome from TN. I haven't been quilting long either. My first 2 quilts were a Turning 20 & a rail fence - both good beginner quilts, I think. You can also google or bing easy beginner quilts; there are bunches. Good luck & keep us posted.
